CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for weekday overnight shifts. You will work Monday through Thursday nights from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST on a 10-hour shift schedule. This is an 89-day travel position beginning July 6, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification before initiating scans
• Prepare patients for CT procedures and explain exam details to ensure comfort
• Position patients appropriately, using safe patient handling techniques for those with limited mobility
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing procedures
• Coordinate with physicians to deliver diagnostic imaging services
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, documenting all required components
• Properly identify images and ensure they are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility environment
• Participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed per unit requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Current ARRT certification
• NYS licensure (must be obtained prior to your start date)
• Two years of CT technologist experience with Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 6 months of Siemens Scanner experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate disposition
• Ability to work effectively as a team member

Preferred Qualifications:

• Injection certification or willingness to complete during orientation
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment
• Minimum 1 year of Epic experience

Weekly compensation is $3,289. This role is based at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
