Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Operating Room. You'll work a 3x12 day shift schedule at $2,102.40 per week, with a start date of June 15, 2026.

Role Overview

You'll support a 34-bed Adult Med-Surg unit on the 4th floor, working within a structured team environment. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 6–7 RNs, 3 CNAs, and 1 HUC; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5–7 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1 HUC. Patient ratios are 1:4–6 on days and 1:5–7 on nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine nursing procedures including IV fluids, tube feeds, PEG feedings, and IV antibiotics
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and demonstrate critical thinking in patient assessment
• Manage time effectively across your patient assignment
• Alert the charge RN, manager, rapid response team, or provider when patient acuity changes
• Collaborate with CNAs and fellow nurses to support unit operations
• Attend huddles at 6:50 AM (day shift) or 6:50 PM (night shift)
• Float to other med-surg units and occasionally to the ED holding pod as needed

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Ability to work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues

Logistics

Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Clock in no earlier than 6:38 AM or 6:38 PM depending on your shift, and clock out and in for meal breaks.
