Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3x12 schedule with 4x12 shifts available upon request
• Contract length up to 26 weeks available upon request
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:25 serving adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Must have critical care experience to work in high volume ER, Level 1 Trauma Center
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC)
• Virginia Respiratory Care Practitioner license required (other state licenses accepted with 90-day temporary authorization)
• Must be competent in ABG interpretation and ventilator management
• Experience with aerosol and medication delivery systems required
• Proficiency in airway management including extubation and tracheostomy care
• Experience with oxygen therapy and nebulizer setups
• Equipment includes Servo I, Servo U, V-60 BiPAP, Optiflow heated high flow, iNO with iNOvent, and LTV1200
• Floating within skillset required
• Robust Assess and Treat protocol with ventilator management and liberation policy in place
• 36-hour orientation period
• First-time travelers accepted with 1 year travel experience preferred
