RN - GI Lab

Job Details:

• Block scheduling type
• Every 5th weekend on-call requirement
• Floating between units required
• Patient ratio of 3 patients per nurse on day shifts
• Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 30 patients across 4 rooms and 13 beds
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• GI/Endoscopy experience required
• Therapeutic experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with GI experience
• Required certification: BLS
• Required skills include: Balloon Dilators, Colonoscopy, Dilators, Disposable grounding pads, EGD, Electrosurgical units, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERBE, ERCP, Esophageal varices and banding, Lithotripters, Polyp snares, Portable/Bedside travel cases, Specimen handling/labeling, and scope reprocessing
• Interdisciplinary support available including Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Rapid Response Teams, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
