OT - Therapy Rehab Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (start time flexible up to 8:00 AM)
• Required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during the applicable week
• No on-call required
• Primary inpatient acute care role
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma acute care experience
• Treat patients across cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, medicine, trauma, surgical, and oncology populations
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Establish treatment plans and provide treatment, considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies
• Educate, collaborate, and conference with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed
• Delegate to assistants and techs through written and verbal communication, including determining skill level or competency required to provide interventions
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies
• May float within any therapy service line within the hospital
• Special equipment used includes SPH equipment, vital carts, iPad interpreter, and ADL supplies
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Black or Grey
• Required certifications: BLS, State License
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off within a 13-week contract
• Required skills: Acute care, adaptive equipment assessment (adult), assessment, cognitive assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, home exercise program, lifting and transfer, patient/family education, plan of care, reassessments, and safety and injury prevention
