Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Austin, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the cardiac catheterization lab at North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This is a 13-week contract assignment running Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Monday–Friday day shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call requirement: 10–12 days per week from 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Weekend on-call coverage for 48 hours required
• 5x8 day shift structure

Your Role

You will support a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab with an 8-bed capacity. Your team includes 4 RNs and 3 cardiovascular technicians. You will perform or assist with cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), peripheral procedures, pacemaker implants, and defibrillator implants. Patient ratio varies based on procedure complexity.

Requirements and Certifications

• Valid RN license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• RCIS certification preferred

Work Environment

You will work with cardiovascular invasive equipment and document in the Meditech EMR system. Ceil blue scrubs are required. You must be a strong team player with excellent collaborative skills, working closely with nursing staff and cardiovascular technicians in a dynamic procedural setting.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,482. Contract duration: 91 days. Start date: June 29, 2026.
