• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care has been delegated
• Ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care is consistently delivered
• Maintain competency of clinical staff through accountability and oversight
• Manage appropriate resources related to patient care
• Support unit-level operations and clinical initiatives
