ED RN Job in Hartford, CT

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with 36 hours guaranteed weekly. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 4, 2026.

Your Role

You'll provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment where patient acuity and complexity vary throughout your shift. Your responsibilities include:

• Manage both Emergency Department and Inpatient Hold patient ratios and acuity levels
• Deliver direct patient care during various stages of treatment
• Facilitate patient flow between the emergency department and inpatient holding areas
• Assess and respond to changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Schedule

You'll work an every-other-weekend rotation on day shifts. This assignment offers stability with guaranteed hours and a defined end date, giving you predictability in your travel nursing career.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,496.78.

Requirements

You must hold a valid RN degree and be prepared to manage the dynamic demands of emergency nursing, including adapting quickly to varying patient acuity levels and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
