Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float to other units as required
• Minimum 2+ years of medical surgical experience required with stroke stepdown experience
• Travel experience required
• Care for stroke stepdown patients on a 64-bed unit
• Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation patients, general medical surgical cases, pneumonia, and pulmonary conditions
• Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• Provide care for adult patient population
• Required certifications: Current AHA BLS, NIHSS (NIH required for this unit and can be obtained prior to start)
• Must have EPIC EMR experience
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Active New York nursing license required
