About this role
Join Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital as an ICU RN in our float pool. You'll work 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements. This is a full-time travel position lasting 96 weeks, starting May 11, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,445.30.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across multiple critical care units including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg
- Float between assigned units based on facility census and staffing needs
- Manage 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period
- Deliver age-appropriate care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
- Work within Healing Environment principles
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Current New York State registered professional nurse license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
- Critical care experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
- Basic Coronary Care certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- CPI certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
- Ability to float across multiple units with cross-training capability
Recommended Certifications
- Emergency Nurses Association certification (within 2 years)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 2 years)
