ED Registered Nurse Job in Turtle Lake, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Turtle Lake Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. You will work a 3x12 night shift schedule (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) with every other weekend requirement and an alternating holiday schedule.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room and Med Surg units using a team nursing model with 1:8 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Manage initial trauma care, dementia patients, dependent older adults, and geriatric populations
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and blood products
• Perform wound care and rehabilitation/restorative care
• Support diabetes management and stroke care
• Titrate drips including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions
• Read and interpret cardiac strips
• Document in the EPIC charting system
• Float between ER and Med Surg units as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Comfort with dementia care, stroke care, skin care, and geriatric patient care
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
• BSN not required

Scrubs are required (no specific color). This is a travel nursing position offering you the opportunity to expand your clinical experience in emergency and med surg nursing.
