Job Details:

• Perform CT and X-Ray procedures according to established protocols under the supervision of a Radiologist
• Produce images of optimal diagnostic quality for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric age groups
• Operate imaging equipment in diagnostic radiology and CT procedures efficiently and effectively
• Complete quality imaging in a timely manner, organizing and prioritizing workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands
• Interact with patients to ascertain medical history and provide instructions and explanations of procedures
• Review patient charts for missed clinical information and obtain consent as needed
• Screen patients for surgical implants, allergies, and other relevant factors
• Obtain prior films and exams as needed and submit high quality scans to the Radiologist for interpretation
• Monitor and attend to patient care before, during, and following exams, notifying appropriate parties of any changes in patient condition
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist and serve as an expert resource for clinical, technical, and process-related questions
• Transfer and properly position patients for examination in accordance with physician specifications and protocols
• Provide immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
• Practice sterile technique and prevent cross contamination
• Must be ARRT certified or eligible upon hire
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Computed Tomography (CT) or X-Ray preferred
• Venipuncture experience preferred
• Must have at least one advanced modality license with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Weekend shift position
• Up to 36 hours of call off per 13-week assignment
