ED RN Job in Fairfield, IA

Jefferson County Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule that includes 2 night shifts and 1 mid-shift per week, with holiday and weekend rotation required. The assignment is 91 days, beginning July 13, 2026.

As an RN in the ED, you will plan and provide total patient care through the nursing process. Your responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning interventions, implementing care, and evaluating outcomes. You will direct and guide patient teaching and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Iowa RN license
• BCLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification

Prior emergency department experience is preferred but not required.

Pay is $2,496.60 per week, with pay periods running Monday through Sunday. This assignment offers you the opportunity to develop or strengthen your emergency nursing skills in an acute-care environment while maintaining schedule flexibility with rotating shifts.
