RN (Registered Nurse)

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: Work into permanent staff holiday schedule as needed
• Patient ratios: 1:6 for floor patients (med-surg), 1:3 for stepdown patients
• Must have Epic experience and Level 1 trauma experience (deal breakers)
• Must have experience with 1:6 ratio patient care
• Required certification: BLS
• Floating to like units (floor/stepdown) required
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Must have experience with complex wound care, drains, devices, traumatic injuries
• Must be comfortable with chest tubes, respiratory support, traumatic brain injuries
• Experience with complex spinal cord injuries and general medical/surgical conditions required
• Handle titratable drips including heparin, PCAs on floor; insulin, Cardizem on stepdown
• Must be able to read and validate telemetry strips
• Care for multi-trauma, TBI, fractures, general surgery, and bariatric surgery patients
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Electronic charting system: Epic
