Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 3 or 4 x 12-hour shifts per week with day/evening rotation from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 6 calls per 6-week schedule
• 1 weekend shift and/or 1 holiday required per 6-week schedule
• Float to general surgery when no cardiac cases are scheduled
• Perform cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases including cardiac and vascular procedures
• Utilize Da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System for cardiothoracic robotic surgery
• Support all surgical service lines including general surgery, orthopedics, orthopedic spine, orthopedic joints, urology, endoscopy, thoracic, neurology, gynecology, neuro/spine, bariatrics, ophthalmology, plastics, podiatry, ENT, and transplant cases
• Perform aseptic technique and case cart management
• Operate crash cart as needed
• Serve patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work within a 21-room surgical suite with a daily census of 40
• Minimum 2 years of experience in aseptic technique, case cart management, cardiac and vascular surgical cases required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Required certification: BLS
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility
