PICU RN Job in Wichita, KS

Join Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This is a 91-day travel nursing assignment offering 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) at $1,839.60 per week.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a Level II Trauma PICU, maintaining 2:1 patient ratios. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• Monitoring patients with general cardiac monitoring equipment
• Documenting care in the Meditech/CPN electronic medical record system
• Collaborating with intensivists, respiratory therapists, desk technicians, dietary staff, and case management
• Delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a teaching hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital PICU experience
• BLS certification
• PALS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• CRRT experience
• APHON certification
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience
