PCU RN Job in LaGrange, GA

Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. You'll work nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing direct patient care in an intermediate care setting.

Your Role

• Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care adapted to population-specific characteristics
• Perform the complete nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and bedside shift reports
• Complete timely and accurate documentation while promoting a respectful clinical environment
• Serve as preceptor and mentor for other professional nurses and students
• Participate in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement activities

Requirements

• Current RN license (single state or compact)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (must be obtained within 180 days of start)
• Associates degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively
• Proficiency in English and basic computer skills

Position Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 3, 2026. You'll earn $1,864.80 per week.
