Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 36 hours per week schedule available
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 across all shifts
• Care for patients ages 0-17 with medical surgical conditions and hematology/oncology
• Float requirement to PICU and NICU units
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call requirement
• Self-scheduling system
• 24-hour unit orientation required
• Hospital orientation week one with mandatory daily classes
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BCLS and PALS
• Must be able to administer chemotherapy
• Skills include IV starts, lab draws, central line care, port management, and chemotherapy monitoring
• Use PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Scrubs not provided - fun kid tops and navy pants required
• Up to 7 days RTO allowed with pre-approval (no holidays)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• NC or Compact license required
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
