Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekends and holidays required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• May be required to float between downtown and northeast campuses based on census and staffing needs
• 2+ years of emergency room experience required
• South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Free parking available with pass distributed at pickup
• Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Approximately 110 patient visits per day across 23 rooms
• Common patient diagnoses include DKA, stroke, URI, kidney stones, and dislocations
• Special procedures include chest tubes, procedural sedation, intubation, and TPA/TNK administration
• Special equipment includes ventilators and BiPAP
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Key skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, IV vasopressor management, triage, phlebotomy, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and care of ventilated patients
