Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Day shift, 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
• Monday through Friday schedule, 5x7.5-hour shifts
• No weekends required
• Adult patient population
• Staffing ratio of 1:5 on days
• Documentation system: EPIC (experience required)
• Required certification: BLS
• Minimum one (1) year of Endoscopy Technician experience required
• Experience in an outpatient endoscopy setting strongly preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures including biopsies and procedure setup
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms before, during, and after cases
• Clean, disinfect, and process endoscopes and instrumentation in accordance with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) protocols
• Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, and handling for pathology and cytology
• Perform room turnover, restock supplies, and maintain a clean procedural environment
• Follow infection prevention standards and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures
• Must be comfortable working with endoscopes, electrosurgical units, ERBE equipment, forceps, polyp snares, and washer/sterilizer systems
• Scope reprocessing experience preferred with colonoscopes, EGD scopes, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) scopes, and High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
• Common procedures include colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
