RN (Registered Nurse)

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Peds

Job Details:

• Work rotating day/night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (1 week days, 1 week nights)
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• No holiday requirement
• Nurse to patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:5
• Float to ED/ICU for 1:1 assignments as needed (first to float)
• 17 bed unit with 14 inpatient beds and 3 observation beds
• Care for adult and pediatric patients with UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, COPD
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred but can be less recent
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Self-scheduling available
• Work with charge nurse who takes patient assignment
• 2 nurse aids on days (2:15 ratio), 1 nurse aid on nights
• Apply telemetry monitors to patients
• No drip titration required - electrolytes, hypertensive medications, diuretics given at set rates
• MEDITECH charting system
• One 12-hour orientation shift (or one day and one night if needed)
• Must pass fit testing if facial hair present
• BSN not required
• Must be located more than 50 miles from facility
