Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• 13-26 week contract assignments available
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Floating required as needed with potential to float every shift
• Weekend requirement of 5-6 weekend shifts (every other weekend)
• 24 hours of unit orientation provided
• Must wear navy scrubs (not provided)
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• Required to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed with auto approval (no holidays)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Minimum 2 years experience required with telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Preferred certification: NIH
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Experience required: interpretation of dysrhythmias, remote monitoring, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, sheath removal, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line/PICC management, cardiac drip titration
• Work with cardiac patients including CHF, arrhythmias, and post cardiac cath patients
• Perform special procedures including cardiac drips, sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop
• Use EPIC documentation system and Pyxis medication system
