About this role

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the operating room at Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA. This is an evening shift position running Monday through Friday from 2:45 AM to 11:15 PM, with call coverage responsibilities. The assignment is 91 days, starting June 5, 2026. You will earn $1,776 weekly.

In this role, you will function under the direction of registered professional nurses, supporting moderate to high acuity surgical cases. Your responsibilities include:

  • Prepare operative suites and maintain sterile field integrity
  • Gather instruments and supplies; serve as surgical assistant as needed
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the healthcare team during procedures
  • Perform surgical counts with the circulator and participate in procedure pause and time-out protocols
  • Scrub, gown, and glove; assist surgeons and surgical assistants with gowning and gloving
  • Pass instruments to surgeons and maintain an organized back table and operative field
  • Prepare sterile dressings and participate in post-procedure pause
  • Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization
  • Stock operating rooms and assist with inventory and supply ordering
  • Deliver age-appropriate and culturally aware patient care

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a surgical technology program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current CST, TS-C (NCCT), CSFA, or CSA certification
  • Passing score on competency examination through National Board of Surgical Technology or National Center for Competency Testing
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and basic computer skills
