Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday/Sunday) with 2 Fridays required per schedule
• Work into permanent staff holiday rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules allowed as long as unit needs are met
• Scrub color required: Navy blue - jackets, if worn, must also be navy blue
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certification: BLS
• BSN not required
• Acute care setting, Trauma Level 2
• Float only to other Med Surg units
• One shift orientation with a preceptor
• May care for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end of life, and chemotherapy patients
• Must be comfortable working with both clean and isolation patients simultaneously
• Can have patients on remote telemetry monitored by monitor tech on 3rd floor - no monitors on unit
• Drips include Heparin and possibly MSO4 for comfort measures - no cardiac drips
• Respiratory support includes BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow, all managed by respiratory therapy
• Client may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
