CVICU RN Job in Glendale, Arizona

You'll work as a registered nurse in the Cardiac and Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, located at 5555 W Thunderbird Road in Glendale, Arizona. This is a travel nursing position running 89 days, with a start date of June 15, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights
• Weekend and holiday rotation requirements, with possible call and float to support units
• Weekly pay: $2,446.20

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care for patients
• Conduct patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental assessments
• Formulate and evaluate care plans, including discharge planning
• Implement patient care through direct care, coordination, delegation, and supervision
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records
• Provide evidence-based care and may participate in research activities
• Interact with multidisciplinary teams, physicians, patients, and families
• Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility personnel

Requirements

• Current valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
• Adequate hearing, visual acuity, and fine motor skills
