ED RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a travel position available for 91 days, beginning May 11, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Full-time role with every other weekend requirement
• No on-call or floating responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40

Clinical Environment

You will work in a high-acuity ED with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Patient populations include strokes, cardiovascular cases, diabetes, wound care, behavioral health, and sepsis. The unit also handles some trauma cases, though it is not a designated trauma center.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Louisiana or valid compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred)

Onboarding and Training

You will complete a New Nurses Orientation within your first 30 days, followed by precepted on-boarding with a designated trained staff member. You will also complete ED-specific competency validation and all required annual competency verification.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Provide education to patients and families as needed
