Job Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts per week with an arrival time of 7:00 AM daily
• Shift ends at 7:30 PM, but team may leave at 4:30 PM if no cases remain, with expectation to be available for callback to fulfill shift
• 17-20 call shifts in an 8-week staff scheduling period, including 12-hour weeknight shifts and 24-hour weekend shifts
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment may be cancelled
• Work within a 2-suite OR environment with only 1 room running at a time
• Average cases per day vary by day: Mondays and Wednesdays focus on colonoscopies and endoscopies (~4 cases), Tuesdays are GYN cases (3-4 cases), Thursdays are emergent cases only, and Fridays average ~5 cases
• Common cases include cholecystectomies, appendectomies, hernia repairs, abdominal hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, D&Cs, colonoscopies, endoscopies, and C-sections
• OR RN will serve as backup if RT is in the ER during L&D cases
• Rotate between 4 roles per shift: Preop, OR, PACU, and Float; assignments sent out the week prior
• Floating to Preop, PACU, and other departments if no surgeries are scheduled
• Scrubbing not required but preferred
• Surgical scrubs provided
• Charting system: Epic
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of OR experience; Preop and PACU experience preferred
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - non-negotiable
