<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Peds</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex<br>• Weekend and holiday requirements<br>• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience and ability to float throughout all children&#39;s units<br>• Float assignments include acute care units: surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hematology oncology, step down unit, and cardiac pediatrics<br>• May be floated to NICU for feeder growers and low acuity patients only<br>• Must have experience with tracheostomy care and high flow oxygen therapy<br>• Must be familiar with infusion therapy and serve as first line for specialized skills<br>• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients<br>• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments<br>• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures<br>• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary<br>• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products<br>• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge instructions<br>• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs<br>• Delegate tasks to support staff<br>• Required: 1 year of nursing experience, Associate&#39;s Degree in Nursing from accredited program<br>• Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), Current BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)<br>• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This pediatric healthcare facility specializes in comprehensive care for children, featuring multiple specialized units including Level 1 Trauma services.
