<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Trauma</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work on 36-bed medical telemetry unit (5W Medicine 610)<br>• Day shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 sitters<br>• Night shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 sitters<br>• Day shift RN patient ratio: 1:5/6 patients<br>• Night shift RN patient ratio: 1:6/7 patients<br>• Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shifts on night shift)<br>• Float to medical-surgical units: 3W, 5W, K8 (sister units)<br>• Prepare patients for endoscopy, interventional radiology, and operating room procedures<br>• Work with medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150s in every patient room<br>• Use work station on wheels for documentation and Tap and Go computer access<br>• Document using Cerner EMR system<br>• Required certifications: BLS (required), CMSRN (encouraged)<br>• Medical telemetry experience required<br>• BSN, leadership experience, and charge nurse experience preferred<br>• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (top and bottom), white top with navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs<br>• Must be hard-working, compassionate, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This flagship healthcare facility is an 815-bed hospital that has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades from 2020-2023, placing it in the top 1% of hospitals nationwide for clinical quality.
