CT Technologist Job in Marietta, GA

Kennestone Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for night shift work. You'll perform computed tomography imaging studies, manage patient care, and maintain high standards of image quality and safety.

Shift and Schedule:

• Night shifts: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• On-call availability as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all CT exams according to established department procedures
• Set up equipment and position patients for imaging procedures
• Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation dose while maintaining diagnostic quality
• Administer contrast media following established protocols
• Verify physician orders and obtain complete clinical histories
• Review CT images for clinical acceptability before patient release
• Maintain venipuncture and power injection competency
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment per infection control policies
• Ensure proper patient identification and use of anatomical markers
• Complete all studies in RIS and PACS systems
• Transport patients and assist with procedure table transfers
• Respond to emergency situations and support life support operations
• Assist other technologists across modalities when needed
• Communicate procedures to patients using AIDET methodology

Required Qualifications:

• Allied Health Professional credential (CT Technologist)
• Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
• ARRT Radiography certification
• ARRT Computed Tomography certification
• Basic Life Support certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a team environment
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
