About this role
Kennestone Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for night shift work. You'll perform computed tomography imaging studies, manage patient care, and maintain high standards of image quality and safety.
Shift and Schedule:
- Night shifts: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Flexible scheduling to meet department needs
- On-call availability as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all CT exams according to established department procedures
- Set up equipment and position patients for imaging procedures
- Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation dose while maintaining diagnostic quality
- Administer contrast media following established protocols
- Verify physician orders and obtain complete clinical histories
- Review CT images for clinical acceptability before patient release
- Maintain venipuncture and power injection competency
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment per infection control policies
- Ensure proper patient identification and use of anatomical markers
- Complete all studies in RIS and PACS systems
- Transport patients and assist with procedure table transfers
- Respond to emergency situations and support life support operations
- Assist other technologists across modalities when needed
- Communicate procedures to patients using AIDET methodology
Required Qualifications:
- Allied Health Professional credential (CT Technologist)
- Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
- ARRT Radiography certification
- ARRT Computed Tomography certification
- Basic Life Support certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a team environment
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
