Opportunity:

Sleep Tech - Polysomnographer

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Conduct sleep studies and provide safe monitoring of clinical patients
• Work with patients varying in age from adolescence to geriatric
• Evaluate patients for any of 150 different sleep/wake disorders
• Most commonly encounter sleep apnea, narcolepsy, night terrors, nocturnal myoclonus and clinical insomnia
• Minimum qualification of completion of accredited training program in Respiratory Therapy or related allied health field with A-STEP Online Self Study Modules or CAAHEP accredited sleep technology training program
• New York State licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner with NBRC registration or New York State licensure as Polysomnographic Technologist required
• Two years of experience with patients, laboratory studies or closely related field required
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills required
• Work under general direction of Sleep Disorders Center Technical Director
