Pharmacist Job in Rockford, IL

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a Pharmacist for a 42-week travel assignment. This is a part-time role working 16 hours per week in an acute care pharmacy setting.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Possible rotation to include Saturday coverage, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review prescriptions and obtain clarifications from healthcare providers
• Analyze drug therapy and evaluate drug interactions
• Determine drug appropriateness using analytical and clinical knowledge
• Compound and dispense medications according to established policies and procedures
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in medication preparation
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and medical personnel regarding medication use and safety information
• Document activities in the EPIC charting system

Requirements:

• Active Illinois State Pharmacist License
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy preferred
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
