Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Guaranteed 72 hours bi-weekly
• 13-week assignment duration
• No block schedule option available
• Patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1
• Higher acuity med-surg unit with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, level 1 trauma post-ICU care, DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care
• Expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking skills, drain management, and post-surgical care required
• Float to other med-surg/telemetry units as needed
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (can be obtained during first week of orientation)
• Must be located greater than 50 miles from facility - local candidates not accepted
