Telemetry RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a telemetry position on our specialized neurology unit in Rochester, NY. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, working 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules that include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Your Role

You will care for patients with a range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain Barre Syndrome. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitoring patients using state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology in our Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary specialty team on patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
• Assuming charge nurse duties as needed
• Managing on-call and callback responsibilities
• Weekend and holiday coverage

Requirements

• Current New York RN license (NY licenses only)
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification highly preferred

Compensation & Schedule

This is an 89-week assignment beginning July 6, 2026. You'll work up to 48 hours per week at regular time rates, with weekly pay of $2,368.08.
