ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Every other weekend coverage required
• Staffing ratio of 1:2 on all shifts
• Float required to Medical-Surgical unit
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Scrub color: Navy/White
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs required for all RNs
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including sepsis, post cardiac arrest, and ARDS
• Operate special equipment including ventilators, balloon pumps, EKOS, Level I Rapid Infuser, and EPOC
• Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV insulin protocols, chronic/acute renal failure management, CVVHD/CRRT, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care and management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, continuous IV paralytics and neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), respiratory failure management, suctioning (ETT, NT), ventilator management, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and phlebotomy
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
