Certified Surgical Technologist in Calais, ME

Calais Community Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10 day shifts beginning August 4, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform safe, sterile setup and handling of all surgical instrumentation for scheduled and emergency surgical cases
• Gather necessary instrumentation and supplies according to surgeons' pick sheets
• Accept pressure assignments, clerical assignments, and other department-related duties as needed
• Maintain strict confidentiality while supporting the organization's mission, vision, and values
• Communicate effectively with department personnel, hospital staff, medical staff, and vendor representatives

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Current ORT (Operating Room Technician) certification
• Current operating room experience (essential)
• Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
