Interventional Radiology RN Job in Rochester, NY

You will work as an RN in the pre- and post-interventional radiology department at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma center in Rochester, New York. This is a 10-hour shift position with an 89-day contract beginning July 6, 2026. You will earn $3,003 per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures and manage post-procedural recovery care
• Provide overnight observation and 23-hour care for IR patients
• Support patients boarding overnight before or after procedures
• Care for inpatient and outpatient populations across all age groups
• Assist patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, nuclear medicine scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds
• Perform charge nurse duties as needed by the unit
• Work rotating day, evening, and night shifts with floating requirements
• Cover holidays and weekends
• Handle on-call and callback responsibilities

You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating strong communication and critical thinking abilities.

Requirements:

• Current New York RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of registered interventional radiology nursing experience
• Telemetry experience (required)
• Medical/Surgical experience (preferred)
• GI post-procedural care experience (preferred but not required)
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association (required)
