RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule
• Weekend requirement includes 3 scheduled days regardless of shift, 1 Friday, and 1 Monday
• Holiday requirement follows permanent staff holiday rotation schedule
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Unit orientation is 1 week
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maintain a 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratio in a 28-bed CVICU
• Care for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients as well as ECMO, LVAD, and heart transplant patients
• Titrate all critical care drips including inotropes and sedation
• Must be able to recognize ECG changes and notify providers accordingly
• Work alongside intensivists, advanced practice providers available 24/7, respiratory therapy, telemetry techs, and 1-3 CNAs on the unit
• CRRT experience required
• Must have prior CVICU experience with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patient populations
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
