Physical Therapist Assistant Job in San Jose, CA

You'll work as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with Sutter Health Care at Home San Jose, providing rehabilitation services across San Jose, the South Bay, and Santa Clara County. This is a home health role where you'll visit patients in their residences to deliver therapy and support their recovery goals.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: May 11, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,196.29
• Travel requirement: 50-mile radius (local candidates accepted at local rate)

Requirements:

• Current California PTA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• 2 years of clinical experience
• Home health experience required
• Valid work history verification for 7 years
• 2 professional references from within the last year
• Nursys verification completed within 2 weeks prior to start
• Lab work completion within 3–5 days of signing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic electronic health record experience

Onboarding:

You'll complete orientation modules through an e-learning system. Modules vary by specialty and average 1–5 hours each. You'll have one approved holiday time off during your assignment.
