<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work Saturday through Monday from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM<br>• Must have excellent Transfusion Service (Blood Banking) skills<br>• Perform routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and handling<br>• Test patient specimens, calculate and report results<br>• Perform quality control procedures and operate laboratory instrumentation<br>• Cross-train to other laboratory sections as needed<br>• Utilize Laboratory Information System for data entry and verification<br>• Process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric specimen volumes<br>• Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values<br>• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment<br>• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science required<br>• Must possess MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT certification from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS<br>• One year of approved clinical laboratory experience required including rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids<br>• Adapt patient care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization is a leading medical center providing comprehensive healthcare services including advanced cardiac care and laboratory services.
