PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on the 5th floor of the West Tower
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for med/surg patients
• Day and night shifts available with 4-6 nurses per shift
• CNC-free environment preferred
• 4 weekend days required every 4 weeks
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR system used: Meditech
• Perform and assist with procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management
• Services available for neuro, ortho, general surgery, and thoracic cases including thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants
• Noninvasive cardiology only - no neurosurgery, stroke cases, or removal of foreign body from airway
• Floating limited to NICU level 1 or 2 only
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS
• Preferred certification: ACLS
• Required scrub color: Royal blue
