Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Alexandria, LA

You will work as a registered nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a full-time travel position with a 91-day assignment beginning October 26, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Day shifts: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Every third or fourth weekend required
• On-call rotation as determined in collaboration with staff
• Weekly pay: $2,927

Your Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, TAVR, and device implantations
• Work in a collaborative environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of one RN to four total staff (two nurses and two techs)
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and all care provided in the Epic EMR system
• Assess and address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate care assignments and delegate to other providers as needed
• Practice independently while delivering both routine and complex nursing care

Requirements

• Active RN license in Louisiana or current compact license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• One year of experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

You will wear galaxy blue scrubs. A temp-to-perm opportunity may be available pending performance and facility needs.
