Respiratory Therapist Job in Cape Girardeau, MO

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment. You will work 3x12 hour nights from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week and weekly pay of $1,971.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care across all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders. Your responsibilities include consulting with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serving as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care matters. You will work with the EPIC EMR system and manage both routine and complex respiratory cases.

Requirements

• RRT licensure required
• 3+ years of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Critical care experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only
• NRP and PALS certifications required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 through April 1

Shift Details and Expectations

Night shift orientation occurs during day shift hours, and you must have full week availability for this orientation period. Weekend hours and call requirements apply as determined by the facility. Float assignments to other units are required as needed. Dress code requires black scrubs with no torn clothes or open-toed shoes.
