X-Ray Technician Job in Hilo, HI

You will work as a Diagnostic Imaging Radiologic Technologist at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo, Hawaii. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,482.

Role Overview

You will function independently in diagnostic imaging, operating a full range of radiographic equipment and performing radiologic procedures. Day shifts are the standard, with an average of 3 days of call per month. Please note there is no guarantee of hours or time requested off.

Equipment & Experience

You will demonstrate proficiency with the following equipment:

• DR fixed equipment and DR fluoro equipment
• C-arms (including Philips and OEC models)
• Portable DR equipment
• Philips Fluoro and Konica DR systems

A minimum of 2 years of independent experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist is required. Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer (must be obtained before assignment start)
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and dosimetry badge management

Pre-Assignment Requirements

You must arrive on island the Thursday before your Monday start date. Employee health appointments are scheduled for Friday prior to your first shift. HR and employee health clearance appointments are required before you begin work.
