Job Details:

• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, focusing on healing and wellness
• Apply evidence-based nursing practices in accordance with hospital and department policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
• Utilize all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity in clinical decision-making
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Consider patient culture, age, and developmental level in all care decisions
• Identify patient risk factors, collect objective and subjective data, and develop prioritized problem lists
• Coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care activities including nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities in a timely and coordinated manner
• Provide patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through collaborative interdisciplinary relationships
• Assure nursing excellence in accordance with accepted standards and evidence-based practice
