PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Closing shift from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM may require staying late if patients don't meet discharge criteria
• Provide nursing care in Day Surgery Unit including pre-op, PACU, and post-op areas for adult and pediatric patients
• Handle 23-hour stay patients with flexible scheduling (may be booked with only 24-48 hours advance notice)
• Patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts
• 16 hours of orientation required
• Must have 5 years of experience as inpatient PACU RN or outpatient surgical setting experience
• Minimum 2 years required for submission
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS
• California RN license required
• EPIC experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• May float to other locations if census is low on home unit
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Complete e-learning modules during orientation (average 1-5 hours)
