Ultrasound Technologist Job in Council Bluffs, IA

CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an on-call requirement of one weekday night per week and every fourth weekend.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform general ultrasound imaging studies on adult and pediatric patients
• Conduct ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Operate two ultrasound scanners in the Radiology department
• Document findings and manage patient data through the EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS systems
• Work under the supervision of a Radiology supervisor present each shift

Requirements:

• Current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Valid ultrasound certificate
• X-ray experience required
• Valid driver's license at time of submittal
• Reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Information:

• Department equipment: Siemens ultrasound systems
• Weekend and holiday on-call rotation required
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• One week orientation provided Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Weekly pay is $2,481. This position focuses on general ultrasound only; vascular and echo procedures are not part of this role.
