ICU RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in their Intensive Care Unit on the night shift. You'll work 3x12 hour nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with every-other-weekend requirements and no call. This is a fixed-duration role with no floating to other units.

What You'll Do

You'll manage a 1:2 patient ratio in a 22-bed ICU, caring for patients requiring critical care including post-cardiac arrest, sepsis, respiratory conditions (pneumonia, ARDS), GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, and CIWA. You'll have direct experience recovering open-heart patients from the OR and working with advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, and Arctic Sun. The facility uses EPIC.

What We Need From You

• Current RN license; must meet Missouri licensure criteria or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 3 years of Cardiac and/or Medical ICU experience, inpatient only
• Experience recovering open-heart patients directly from the OR (CVI experience)
• Preferred: Medical ICU experience with cardiac emphasis including arrhythmias, STEMI, and post-arrest management
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC

Orientation & Logistics

Night shift orientation runs on day shift. You must be available the entire first week for orientation. The assignment is 13 weeks, starting June 21, 2026.

Dress Code

Black scrubs required. Unacceptable attire includes non-black scrubs, hats, non-facility jackets or sweatshirts, and AirPods.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,365.20
