RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work evening shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Full-time position
• Demonstrate proficiency and independence in the care of patients and their families by applying and documenting the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Consult with staff, physicians, and management on nursing problems and interpretation of policies to ensure patient needs are met
• Practice the five rights of medication administration
• Act as a patient advocate, including family in patient care and respecting confidentiality
• Effectively manage end-of-life decisions including code status
• Demonstrate efficient time management skills to maximize productivity
• Maintain clinical competency within the department to provide direct and safe patient care
• Participate in hospital and department quality activities as required
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have basic computer knowledge
• Ability to speak additional languages preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), CPI
• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico required
