PCU Registered Nurse Job in Bay City, MI

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2 years RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Cerner experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs, telemetry, and critical metrics
• Perform regular patient assessments and recognize subtle changes in patient conditions
• Initiate necessary interventions and life-saving measures when needed
• Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
• Provide specialized care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or complex conditions including vent patients and stroke patients requiring neuro checks
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists to develop care plans
• Educate patients and families on diseases, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses
